Jewish Educational Program for Russian-Speaking Children at JCP Oct-08-09 - May-13-10
Jewish Community Project (JCP) is excited to launch its new program for Russian-speaking families with young children. Our bilingual educators will engage children and their parents to experience and touch their heritage while learning about it. Through an exciting mix of hands-on programming, children will embrace their Russian-Jewish culture through holiday celebrations and rituals – all in an experiential and fun manner. Parents will have an opportunity to join their children on a journey of lifelong learning by participating in uniquely designed activities on select dates.
JCP is located at 146 Duane Street in Downtown Manhattan.
*This program is made possible through a grant by the Center Without Walls project of COJECO, funded by UJA-Federation of NY.
About Jewish Community Project Downtown
JCP is an open and organic Jewish community that enables individuals and families to become a creative force in the life of the organization, to explore their Jewish identity and connect to others through educational, cultural, social, and artistic programs.
JCP’s mission is to meet the growing needs of the Jewish community in Lower Manhattan and to build collaborative partnerships among like minded downtown organizations in order to maximize communal resources. JCP’s ultimate goal is to create a healthy and evolving community in which members have a strong sense of personal ownership, community connections and Jewish identity.
